Vera Bradley
The Vera Bradley inspiration came to Patricia Miller and friend Barbara Baekgaard while they were on vacation in 1982. While sitting in the Atlanta airport waiting for a flight, the two women noticed that there was definitely a lack of functional, attractive looking luggage for women. With $500.00 the two Fort Wayne, Indiana neighbors bought fabric and hired people to sew their bags from their homes.
Twenty years later, Vera Bradley, named for Barbara’s mother, has developed a loyal following of customers. The Vera Bradley Company manufactures a high quality product that is both roomy and cheerful. Vera Bradley bags comes in many sizes and patterns along with coordinating totes, purses, wallets, glass and cosmetic cases, umbrellas, fashions for the home and even our pets.
In 1998, after the loss of a dear friend to breast cancer, The Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer was established. The pattern “Hope” helps fund the fight against breast cancer.
Yaya’s Boutique carries a wide selection of Vera Bradley bags and accessories. Please visit our store in historic downtown Libertyville.
